My first complaint is that I live in Utah. This means we ALWAYS have construction going on which leads up to rock chips and sometimes windows have to be replaced as the damage is just to big just filled per window companies. I CANNOT control that!! I had a $0 deductible for glass which I was paying for monthly. However due to where i live I had to file a few glass rock chip claims. Also had 2 window replacements on 2 differnt cars. 1 front window and 1 side small window. Again, nothing i can control or do about it. My hubby also had to have his vehicle towed 1x. Never had accidents that were our fault or even tickets.
However, i was told shortly after going to $0 glass deductible that because of the 1x tow and the few glass claims that instead of "dropping us" they were going to change me to the $500 deductible. Mmkay... Isnt that what insurance is for? To cover claims especially when its not something you can control or your fault?
So now I get to continue to pay for high $ scam car insurance but dont get to use it at all with the fear of being dropped until i find a different company. Not even a rock chip repair if needed at any point can I do under my policy with their threats and potentially being dropped. Complete insanity. Just take my $ but no coverage for you Peyon!
I then had an issue recently this week where my bill went up yet my hubbies went down. Or So i thought his went down... So i called to find out why. Nothing had changed. Still no tickets, claims or at fault accidents. I talked to Jordan who told me he would look into it and call me back. That NEVER happened. So I followed up the following day. He first tells me it was due to the "safety rating changing". WRONG and a lie. Subaru are rated #1 saftey per their commercials and my hubby car has a 4 out of 5 stars. He then claims it was "inflation and price increases". WRONG again. Price increase already happended as state farm is greedy like the rest of them. Had it been price increase then my car and my hubby car both would of went up. Also didn't make sense as they alresdy raised prices recently.
I asked to speak to someone who could give me a valid answer. Jordan told me he would get back to me in about 10 min. Well that never happened either. So I called several hours later to speak to Sabrina who promised to look into it and call me before end of day.
She followed up as promised and explained it had to do with some changes we made in April and that the differencwasas spread it out over 3 months and that they got a new billing system. Now that the proration was over is why our costs are the way they are now.
I appreciated her efforts and doing as she said she would.
What I didn't appreciate was the excuses, false information or not being followed up to as promised and having to follow up several times myself for an answer. Don't just make crap up. Do your damn job, investigate, be honest, have integrity and morals, follow up when you say you will and be straight forward. Not to much to ask from a company your paying money to for services! If you don't know the answer then fine. But don't lie or make excuses! Do your job and investigate to get the answer. That's what good customer service, a good company and employees do. Also just common courtesy and respect.
Sabrina also told me that every 4 years state farm does a "review" and they base other peoples actions, claims and what state farm has to pay out on how they determine rates. So essentially we are getting punished for other peoples actions even though we arent crappy drivers. Not sure how that's fair. Legal or even moral but okay... Rates should be based off that person and not others! That's how employers do their evals and raises as well as the law! Can't base your decision or actions because of someone else doing! You are ONLY responsible for YOUR actions so i don't understand their logic. Again no morals or integrity.
